On the occasion of centenary year (100 years of completion) of British Era Heritage Structure – The GPO, INTACH Nagpur chapter in association with Architectural Sankul organized a heritage visit for the students of Shrinivas Public School and Tulsiram Gaikawad Patil College of Architecture on 15-02-2020
Under the guidance of Mr. Kishor Divekar – Convenor INTACH Nagpur Chapter, Dr Madhura Rathod – Co-founder Architectural Sankul & Co-convenor INTACH Nagpur Chapter along with Ar. Nitika S. Ramani – Co-founder Architectural Sankul & additional Co-convenor INTACH Nagpur Chapter facilitated the heritage visit. 50 students along with their teachers participated in the heritage visit.
Ar. Ramani guided and explained the students about the history and architecture of GPO. Mr. Sanjay Sathey (GPO official) briefed the students about various departments and working of post office. Students learnt at lot about the stamp history at Philately section, were Mr. Sathey and Mr. Khedhar illustrated about the stamps in detail.
Dr. Rathod concluded the visit with vote of thanks. School and college authorities appreciated the efforts put by INTACH and Architectural Sankul team.
