Heritage visit to General Post Office

On the occasion of centenary year (100 years of completion) of British Era Heritage Structure – The GPO, INTACH Nagpur chapter in association with Architectural Sankul organized a heritage visit for the students of Shrinivas Public School and Tulsiram Gaikawad Patil College of Architecture on 15-02-2020

Under the guidance of Mr. Kishor Divekar – Convenor INTACH Nagpur Chapter, Dr Madhura Rathod – Co-founder Architectural Sankul & Co-convenor INTACH Nagpur Chapter along with Ar. Nitika S. Ramani – Co-founder Architectural Sankul & additional Co-convenor INTACH Nagpur Chapter facilitated the heritage visit.  50 students along with their teachers participated in the heritage visit.

Ar. Ramani guided and explained the students about the history and architecture of GPO. Mr. Sanjay Sathey (GPO official) briefed the students about various departments and working of post office. Students learnt at lot about the stamp history at Philately section, were Mr. Sathey and Mr. Khedhar illustrated about the stamps in detail.

Dr. Rathod concluded the visit with vote of thanks. School and college authorities appreciated the efforts put by INTACH and Architectural Sankul team.

Heritage walk at Kashibai Temple Complex

On the occasion of 264th death anniversary of Raje Raghuji Bhonsle – I, on 14th February 2020 INTACH Nagpur chapter in association with Architectural Sankul organized a heritage walk at the Rajghat- The Kashibai Temple Complex for the students of Dinanath High school to pay tributes to mighty ruler.
Shrimant Yuvraj Jaisingh Raje Bhonsle graced the occasion. Convenor INTACH Nagpur Chapter Mr. Kishor Divekar was also present. Ar. Nitika S. Ramani, Co-founder Architectural Sankul and additional Co-convenor INTACH Nagpur Chapter facilitated the whole heritage walk. 50 students of Dinanath high school were accompanied by their teacher Mr. Sunny Nichols.
The walk started with a brief introduction followed by paying tributes at the chhatri of Raje Raghuji Bhonsle – I and observing 2 minutes of silence. After offering prayers Yuvraj Jaisingh Raje interacted with the students.
Ar. Ramani guided the students to all the major chhatris and samadhi’s, narrating its history, architecture and stories. Students learnt and enjoyed the heritage and went back with many stories to share with family and friends. School authorities appreciated the efforts put by INTACH and Architectural Sankul team.

Heritage walk at Kashibai Temple Complex

On the occasion of 264th death anniversary of Raje Raghuji I, INTACH Nagpur Chapter and Architectural Sankul along with students of Dinanath High school visited Kashibai Temple complex and paid tributes.

HERITAGE CLUB – CENTRE POINT SCHOOL, WARDHAMAN NAGAR, NAGPUR

INTACH HERITAGE CLUB INSTALLATION AT CENTRE POINT SCHOOL, WARDHAMAN NAGAR, NAGPUR
On 27-09-2019, INTACH HERITAGE CLUB was installed at CENTRE POINT SCHOOL, Wardhaman nagar, Nagpur. Dr. Madhura Rathod (Co-Convenor, INTACH Nagpur Chapter) and Ar. Nitika Ramani (Executive Committee Member, INTACH Nagpur Chapter) were the guests invited for the occasion.
Establishing Heritage Club in Schools of Nagpur is the joint venture of INTACH Nagpur Chapter and Architectural Sankul, Nagpur. Till date 8 Schools have successfully established these clubs.
The Centre Point School, Vice-Principal, Mrs Deepa Chakraborty along with the two heritage club incharge teachers- Mr. Sameer Sonekar & Mrs Nisreen Sabir arranged this program on the occasion of World Tourism Day. The intention was to encourage young students to be aware about rich Indian Heritage.
The guests were welcomed by the Principal with beautiful saplings.
Ar. Nitika Ramani addressed the students and motivated them to know that being the bright, young citizens’ of tomorrow’s India they hold the responsibility to take care of the past for the future. Various issues like conservation, preservation and restoration of both tangible and intangible heritage of India are the need of the time – said Ar. Ramani.
Students were appreciated by distributing Heritage Passports and badges.
Students actively interacted with the guests and showed their enthusiasm to contribute by writing articles, poems, sketching, painting and film making. They presented a skit on the theme of Tourism and Heritage.
INTACH Nagpur Chapter has promised the schools to help in all possible ways to keep the mission going.
The program concluded with the pledge and national anthem.

Heritage Club – Gaikwad-Patil International School, Nagpur

On 30-08-2019 Gaikwad-Patil International school conducted an INTACH Heritage Club installation ceremony.
The Principal of the school Mrs. Shabi Chaurasia welcomed Dr.Madhura Rathod and Ar.Nitika Ramani.
The program was conducted by the students during their school assembly.
Students presented a good skit and a dance reflected local culture and tradition.
The guest honoured the 30 students members of INTACH Heritage Club with badges and passports.
Dr. Madhura Rathod delivered a speech clearing the objectives of this club, the activities, and the future vision. She highlighted on the need of the time to conserve and preserve our rich tangible and intangible heritage for next generation.
The morals, values, culture and tradition that we cherish should be consolidatedly documented and spreader,said Dr.Rathod.
The program ended with the pledge read by Architect Nitika Ramani, followed by National Anthem.

Heritage Club – DINANATH SCHOOL, Dhantoli, Nagpur

INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Culture Heritage)HERITAGE CLUB INSTALLATION AT DINANATH SCHOOL, Dhantoli, Nagpur.

On 29-08-2019, Dinanath School, established INTACH Heritage Club at their school level.
Mr.Kishor Divekar(Convenor- INTACH Nagpur Chapter) along with Dr. Madhura Rathod (co-convenor- INTACH Nagpur Chapter and AS : Co-Founder & Co-Director) Rathod and Architect Nitika Ramani (Executive Committee Member of INTACH Nagpur Chapter and AS : Co-Founder & Co-Director) were welcomed as chief guest and guests of honour by the school Principal Mr. Alok Kumar Sinha,
Mr. Sunny Nichols and Mr.Girdhar Kuware, In charges of school INTACH Heritage Club conducted and coordinated the program.
Students were encouraged to be aware of the need of the society and the responsibility that they hold as young generation of citizens of India. They were acquainted with the present situation and issues which requires immediate attention.
The students were informed about the objectives with which the club has established. The ceremony ended with the pledge and the distribution of passport and badges.

Heritage Club – SFS, Nagpur

INTACH Nagpur Chapter and Architectural Sankul has initiated to start INTACH SCHOOL HERITAGE CLUBS.

On 28-08-19, St. Francis de Sales, Nagpur conducted an INTACH Club Installation Ceremony.

INTACH Nagpur Chapter and AS- Director & Co-Founder) were welcomed as a chief guest for the ceremony.

Father Samuel along with Mrs.Uma Manyam and Mrs. Diana Francis (INTACH school heritage club incharges) coordinated the program. Students of the heritage club presented a small documentary and skit focusing on need to conserve and preserve India’s rich heritage.

30 participants were honoured with passports and badges.

Students took a pledge to protect both intangible and tangible heritage. Children were conscious about the need of the time to protect our sources of water for they said the situation is alarming.

The guests encouraged the children to spread this awareness to larger group of society. They were assured to be supported for required help from INTACH Nagpur Chapter.

Heritage Club – DPS, Kamptee, Nagpur

Heritage club Installation at Delhi Public School Kamptee,Nagpur on 23-08-19
INTACH Nagpur Chapter along with Architectural Sankul has initiated to establish HERITAGE CLUBS in various schools and colleges in Nagpur.
Recently Teachers’ Training Workshop was organized to spread awareness regarding Heritage 
The establishment of heritage club is an outcome of this program.
Delhi public School, Kamptee is the third school in line to formulate Heritage Club.
Dr. Madhura Rathod and Ar. Nitika Ramani, Directors of Architectural Sankul  and Executive Members of INTACH Nagpur Chapter distributed passports and Badgets to 50 students for being the torch bearers of the club at the installation ceremony conducted by the students themselves
Architectural Sankul wishes all the best to all the schools and college for initiating to motivate young minds  of India towards Heritage.

Heritage Club – St.Ursula Girls’ High School, Nagpur

INTACH Nagpur Chapter and Architectural Sankul, formally inaugurated Heritage Club on 9th August 2019 at St.Ursula Girls’ High School, Nagpur
They had a formal function were Dr.Madhura Rathod and Ar.NitikaRamani from INTACH Nagpur Chapter & Architectural Sankul were guest of honour.
Ar.Nitika Ramani and Principal Ms.Rachana Singh addressed the students
The heritage passport and badgets were distributed to the students.
It was the effort of Principal -Ms Rachana Singh and teachers- Ms Rachana Anand and Shilpa Patil along with the History Department that the Heritage club was established
This is a small initiation from INTACH Nagpur Chapter in association with Architectural Sankul.
We hope to grow with many schools getting associated to contribute towards spreading heritage awareness
